For this weekend’s excursion we went to another pueblo blanco (or white village) but this time it was in the sierra (or foothills) instead of the coast. After doing a tour of the historic center, our students were able to explore this small town in their own groups. Most of them followed our advice and tried the cookies prepared by nuns from the local convent. We also did a bit of shopping for souvenirs in the local artisan shops and boutiques.
